500 WEST 21ST STREET
LUXURY CHELSEA CONDOS
Internationally-acclaimed landscape designer Rees Roberts + Partners planned the sustainable garden that is ecological and contextually-sensitive and will be a visual amenity for all residents. The dense, native plantscape reaches as high as 40 feet and varies with the seasons, creating a private urban sanctuary.
Renowned architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox conceived 500 West 21st Street as a graceful link between its historic neighbor, the General Theological Seminary to the east and the celebrated reclamation of the High Line directly to the west of the building.
West Chelsea-based interior designer Mark Zeff lends a comfortable-industrial aesthetic to the residences and amenity spaces. Melding his strong contextual understanding of the neighborhood’s energy with carefully selected materials such as limestone and oil-rubbed bronze, Mark Zeff crafted open, loft-like layouts.

West Chelsea is Del Posto, Gagosian Gallery, The Highline Ballroom, Frank Gehry, and The Avenues World School. The new vanguard for art, food, nightlife, and design, West Chelsea is also avant-garde art in landmarked buildings, and a rich legacy of creative second acts: The High Line Park, built on a historic elevated rail line, is a world-renowned exemplar. Here is city life and culture distilled, in an open setting of clear river light and near-pastoral calm.
